Meyers ‘taken To Hospital In Ambulance’
Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers has sparked fresh fears for his health after he was reportedly taken to hospital by ambulance earlier this week.
The Tudors star, who has long battled drink problems, was allegedly found slumped at his London home by paramedics on Tuesday night. According to Britain’s The Sun, he refused treatment and police had to be called to ensure the star was taken to hospital for his own safety.
He was later released in the early hours of Wednesday. It is not officially known for what reasons the star needed medical treatment.
A spokesperson from Scotland Yard tells the publication, “Officers were called by London Ambulance Service following reports of a man refusing treatment. The man was taken to hospital.”
Meyers has sought help for his alcohol problems at different rehabilitation centers several times as he’s struggled to remain sober since 2005.
